Resources

Occasionally we add resources helpful to those battling stuttering. Those resources are listed below:

The following five books by Lee will be helpful:

1) “How to Stop Stuttering & Love Speaking”;

2) “Stop Stuttering SHORT Course;

3) “Stuttering Stories with Happy Endings: 101 Stories”;

4) “Speech Anxiety to Public Speaking”; and

5) “WORDS You Need to Know”.

It is recommended that you read the SHORT Course (#2 above) first.  It is only 86 pages and makes a fine reference book or cliff notes version.  Then read “How to Stop…” (item #1 above), as it will give you all of the details.

The above books can be purchased on Amazon in eBook, paperback and/or hardcover versions. NO audible versions are offered.

PDF versions are available to WSSA’s members at no additional charge.  https://worldstopstuttering.org

The voice-over TV star of the popular ABC comedy, “Downward Dog” is Samm Hodges, who overcame life-long stuttering by using some of the methods that SAA shares with PWS, which can be found in the “Stuttering & Anxiety Self-Cures” by Lee G. Lovett. For example, he massively read aloud and pretended to be an actor, concentrating on over-pronouncing words. He offers another excellent example of a self-cured stutterer.
