My husband and I are medical doctors in India. I write this on behalf of my son, Chiraag, who began stuttering at age 9. He stuttered in roughly one-third of his conversations, mainly repeats, body contortions and blocks causing forced words and silences. Chiraag had several therapy programs (teaching breathing, pausing, reading, speaking, etc.) but none helped.
In April 2024, we found Lee Lovett and World Stop Stuttering Association (WSSA) on Google and joined that program. Coach Lee did some Skype sessions with Chiraag, and Chiraag learned various ways to say any individual word and also a speech plan (of speaking slowly, focusing on pronunciation and speaking with feeling).
By late August 2024, Chiraag hadn’t had a bad incident (appeared to have a stuttering disability) in several months.
Needless to say, we are delighted with our son’s speech now, and we heartily recommend Coach Lee and the WSSA program.
